Shortly after I had Eleanor my parents offered to buy her blessing gown. I never thought I'd have a girl so I had no idea what type of gown I would like. We were pretty busy with birthdays and visitors so it wasn't until a few weeks before her blessing date that I started looking. I didn't know exactly what I was looking for but I knew I would know once I saw it. Casey thought I was crazy! Then again he thinks I'm crazy more times than not. Anyway, I looked at a few stores around here and nothing caught my eye so I started looking online. I found a few dresses that I liked but one was $1,200 (that's no typo) and the other was $400. I just couldn't justify spending more on my daughters blessing gown than I did on my own wedding dress. I found a really cute crocheted dress, which I didn't think I would go that route, but Casey said it looked like a big doily. So late one night I found the dress. It was off-white, long, lacey, and screamed Eleanor. I showed Casey and he liked it. I got in touch with my parents and it wasn't until then that we realized it was being handmade in India. We looked at shipping details and it said it would arrive on time so we went with it. A few days after her blessing we did a mini photo shoot in my friends backyard. Thank you parents for the beautiful gown that made her the "bell of the ball" that Sunday.
