Europe here we come!
We are so excited and wanted to share our excitement with everyone else. We bought our Europe tickets this past weekend and can't wait to go. Unfortunately, we have a couple months until we leave (June 9 - July 3). We've started planning but are taking suggestions of places we should visit so let us know if you have a favorite place. Here are the countries we plan on visiting as of now: England, France (northern and southern), Belgium, Germany, Czech Republic, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, and Spain.

How exciting !!!
ReplyDeleteCan I stow away in your suitcase ? :)
Sounds like a blast! I recommend the small Italian town of Assisi, between Rome and Florence. Also, visit the palace in Fountaine Bleu, France...or...actually I recommend Herrenchiemsee, you take a boat from Prien, Germany. It's an unfinished palace, it was originally built to mirror Versailles. There is a decent hostile in Prien and when you take the boat to Chiemsee, you can take a carriage ride to the palace.
ReplyDeletemy family is in bergerac, if you want to look it up on a map. there are a lot of castles in the area, and the caves that people go see. my grandparents just moved to bergerac from castillon-la-bataille, which is a bummer, cause it was a fun quaint little place, full of old people. are you SURE you can't make it to croatia!? i really do want to go with jeff there sometime before i completely forget the language...
ReplyDeleteI'll have David email you some cool places to visit in England! He served his mission there and can't wait to go back! We are so jealous! We hope to be able to go when David finishes school in two years...two whole years, blah!
ReplyDeleteDenmark of course!
ReplyDeleteBummer we won't be able to hook up in England after all. So does this mean you won't defend your title at BAM? Guess I'll just have to win.
Hey Casey-
ReplyDeleteDon't forget to email Lauren & ask her for suggestions.
She knows all about the good traveling spots.
I wish Brady and I could go back! It was the best trip I have ever taken. You guys need to for sure go to Brugge in Belgium and Fussen in Germany. These two places where mine and Brady's favorites!
ReplyDeleteI second Jennelle with Brugge and Fussen they were both really fun little towns to go to and we just walked around in awe at both of them. Also in Austria check out Salzburg where the Hellbrunn Palace is located...not only is it the resting place of the gazebo on Sound of Music (i am 16 going on 17 song) but they also have these SWEET trick fountains! We got totally lost when we went but it was well worth the adventure and im sure Lily would say the same (she was the chinese lady we met at the bus stop and who I shared my umbrella with during the tour..haha!)
