Father's Day

This year for Father's Day I asked the boys what they wanted to do for their dad.  They said "let's go on a scavenger hunt."  So I thought it would be fun to take pictures of the kids wearing Casey's clothes and shoes.  I could use the pictures as the clues.  Eleanor wasn't really up for wearing his stuff so I took some pictures of her by herself in one of her cutest dresses.  The whole week before Father's Day I kept hearing Spencer tell Casey clues about his surprise.  He almost spoiled it!  Everyone had a fun time searching for Casey's favorite treats on the scavenger hunt.

Casey is an amazing father and husband.  I couldn't have picked anyone better for us.  I love his positive attitude.  I love that he comes home from a long day at work and still has energy to play with the kids.  I love that he honors his priesthood.  I love that he is creative.  I love that he is carefree and crazy!  I just love everything about him.

Miss El

So I couldn't wait to post this picture I took yesterday.  Eleanor is growing up so fast.  She's rolling over which is surprising since she doesn't spend much time on the floor.  Her brothers love her a little too much and the minute I put her down they are next to her or in her face.  The poor girl just wants some time alone!  I'm bias but I think she's getting cuter the older she gets.  I love her chubby cheeks and round face.  I just love her!

Blessing Brunch

Eleanor's blessing was at 9:00 am so we invited family and friends over for brunch afterwards.  I made some yummy food - donut hole and fruit kabobs, ham, cheese and egg breakfast pies, blueberry and peach croissant puffs, and muffins.  It was nice to visit and celebrate with those closest to us.

My dad and Grandpa - both were part of the blessing circle

 Reagan and Savannah

 Our good friend Trevor

Our nieces - Avaree, Reagan, and Sophie

 Grandma Grandma and Eleanor
She was the only lucky grandparent who got a picture with Eleanor that day.  I think I got sidetracked with visiting that I didn't have photos on my mind.  Afterwards I was pretty upset with myself for not getting more family photos.

Our dear friends Kaimii and Megan
We couldn't have done it without them.  They left a few minutes before church was over and got all the food set out.

Corinne and Eleanor
We have Corinne to thank for all the above photos.  Without her we wouldn't have had any pictures of this special day.  My mind was more on being with family and friends even though it should have been on capturing some moments via pictures.

Eleanor's blessing gown

Shortly after I had Eleanor my parents offered to buy her blessing gown.  I never thought I'd have a girl so I had no idea what type of gown I would like.  We were pretty busy with birthdays and visitors so it wasn't until a few weeks before her blessing date that I started looking.  I didn't know exactly what I was looking for but I knew I would know once I saw it.  Casey thought I was crazy!  Then again he thinks I'm crazy more times than not.  Anyway, I looked at a few stores around here and nothing caught my eye so I started looking online.  I found a few dresses that I liked but one was $1,200 (that's no typo) and the other was $400.  I just couldn't justify spending more on my daughters blessing gown than I did on my own wedding dress.  I found a really cute crocheted dress, which I didn't think I would go that route, but Casey said it looked like a big doily.  So late one night I found the dress.  It was off-white, long, lacey, and screamed Eleanor.  I showed Casey and he liked it.  I got in touch with my parents and it wasn't until then that we realized it was being handmade in India.  We looked at shipping details and it said it would arrive on time so we went with it.  A few days after her blessing we did a mini photo shoot in my friends backyard.  Thank you parents for the beautiful gown that made her the "bell of the ball" that Sunday.

Eleanor's Blessing Weekend

We were super excited for family to come to town for Eleanor's blessing.  The boys had a blast all weekend hanging out with their cousins.  They slept for a whole day after everyone left.  They had been staying up late (10 pm) every night and waking up at normal time (7 am) every morning.  To me that sounds like a lot of sleep but for their little bodies they need 12-14 hours a night.  I'll do another post with Eleanor and her blessing gown.  It deserves its own post:)

Eleanor had a crush of Coop!  She typically doesn't just go to anybody.  It was awesome to see her cuddle with Coop and not cry.  I think I'll hire him to babysit.

Avaree got to come with Casey's parents from California.  This was her first trip to Utah so we made sure she saw a lot.

Grandpa really loves Olliebug cause he shared some of his popcorn with him.  He doesn't do that for just anybody.

 Casey with his mother

Here's the Robles bike gang!  We biked to Bridal Veil Falls only to get poured on.  We were all soaked when we got back to the car.

Not only do the boys love to feed the fish they love to touch them.  You have to hold Ollie otherwise he would go right in the water.  He's determined to touch them.

Grandpa bonding with Eleanor.  I think they were watching a basketball game.

Grandad asked Spencer what he would like to do when he came to town.  Spencer told him bowling so we all went bowling.  Spencer got tired after the 5th frame which is usual for him.  Olliebug took over and started bowling for everyone.  He loved it!  After bowling we made a stop at Menchie's.  It wouldn't be a trip from Grandad without Menchie's.

hanging around the house

The boys wake up at 7 every morning, but that doesn't mean they're ready to go at that time.  They like to play around the house in their pj's for an hour or two.  Sometimes they like to take the pots and pans out and walk around on them.  They are such boys!

Holding Eleanor is still a favorite thing to do.  The poor girl hardly ever gets tummy time because her brothers want to hold her.  Or I need to put her up high so she doesn't get mauled.

Eleanor's smiling, sitting, and sleeping

Ok so I have lots of other pictures to post but I couldn't resist posting these of Eleanor first.  She is 11 weeks old and is way more pleasant to be around.  She barely cries, sleeps 6-8 hours at night, smiles, and is sitting up (with the help of her bumbo).  I guess a little time under her belt has done her good.  We love her and will definitely be keeping her.

 Eleanor with her crazy brothers

So my mom hates boogers! So as a joke we take a picture of the first huge booger that's come flying out and send it to her.  It's just bonus that Eleanor felt like smiling for the picture.  I love you mom!
