Say cheese!

Casey got a great deal on photos at Kiddie Kandids so we took advantage of it.  We didn't fall in love with any of the photos but found a few that are wall worthy.  Enjoy!

Let it snow......

We got our first snow of the season and we loved it.  Spencer and Casey bundled up and helped our neighbors, Max and Eli, build an awesome snow slide.  Oliver and I stayed inside and made some hot chocolate for the boys.

Leaves = work & PLAY

I forgot how much fun it was to rake leaves and play in them.  The boys helped me remember my youth and the many hours I spent playing in the leaves.  However, I remembered the leaves being much softer when I was young.  Anyway, may the boys always remember how much fun we had this warm, fall day playing in the leaves.

Oliver at 6 months old

Our little Olliebug is growing up to fast.  Here's what he's up to these days.

- He is into everything which doesn't make his brother too happy.  Spencer is learning quickly that he has to put everything up high otherwise Oliver will eat, tear, or slobber on it.

- He is not only crawling but pulling himself up and walking around furniture.  He has also mastered climbing two steps.  I'm always impressed by his strength.

- He gets extremely excited when his brother walks into the room and more times than not he crawls over to him as quickly as he can.  Once he reaches his brother he likes to tickle him or grab his face.  Spencer either loves it or hates it - pretty much depends on the day.

- He is quite the little helper when it comes to cleaning.  He loves the vacuum and chases after it which doesn't always make it easy for me.  He also loves the broom and tries to get to it while I'm sweeping.  I'm starting to realize that my window for cleaning is diminishing - nap and bedtime only.

- He laughs, smiles, and sticks out his tongue the majority of the day.  He calms me when everything around me is spinning out of control.  I was extremely blessed to get him as my second child.

- He is a momma's boy.  He can't handle being far from me which is very endearing but sometimes overwhelming.  Lately his favorite thing to do is make-out with me.  I'm not kidding!  Whenever I'm holding him he'll just lean over and start sucking on my chin, cheek, or any part of my face.  It cracks me up!

- He is happy and healthy and we couldn't ask for anything more from him.  We love our Olliebug.

Halloween

I'm finally posting our Halloween pictures - sorry!  We were a family of garden gnomes.  We visited Casey's school and most of the kids thought we were Santa Claus.  I guess the beards threw them off.  Either way they were easy costumes to make and wear.  Next year we'll probably do separate costumes cause will have his own idea.  This year about 2 weeks before Halloween Spencer started telling people he was going to be a witch and Oliver was going to be a pumpkin.  Where he got those ideas, I don't know, but he was set on them.  So we'll see what happens next year.

Carmel Apples

We've made it a tradition to make carmel apples with the George's and Van Cott's before Halloween.  Everyone brings their own apples and we provide the toppings.  The kids have a blast playing while the adults enjoy devouring the delicious carmel apples uninterrupted.

My 3 silly boys

Olliebug is all over the place these days so it shouldn't surprise me that he is already trying to crawl up the stairs.

Spencer likes to wear Nora's (my suntanning cabbage patch doll) sunglasses.  Nora has been Spencer's little friend ever since we brought her back from Seattle.  I kept onto her and a few other dolls from my childhood just in case I had a girl.  Who knew that my little boy would have fun playing with her too.

Casey ran in a local 5K Halloween Race.  Can you spot him?

Yep, that's him in the tiny, pink shorts with a pink shirt and pixie wig.  A lot of people liked his costume.  I just wish I had as much confidence as him so I could wear something like that.

He took 3rd overall and got us lots of great prizes.

We made a box house one afternoon which has become one of Olliebug's favorite places to play.  He likes it best when his brother is napping so he can do whatever he likes in the box.

Oma, Blizzard's, and the Zoo

We made the drive down to Tacoma, WA to visit the Point Defiance Zoo.  We all loved the view but not the layout.  The zoo is built on a hill so it was quite the work out with strollers.  We only stayed a few hours because of the weather (windy, rainy, and cold).

Spencer was fascinated by the Walrus' which you'll understand why after you see the next few pictures.

I guess we came during the mating season because these two Walrus' were all over each other.  Spencer thought it was funny that they were "wrestling" and "kissing".  I was more amazed at how large the one walrus was rather than what they were doing.

Spencer has officially been named the candy breaker for blizzards.  He loves his job and takes advantage of it.  He likes to taste everyone's candy before it goes into the ice cream.  We let it slide since he's only 2.

The best part of blizzards........eating them!

Olliebug was so good while we made blizzards.  He just played in the exersaucer.  He's the best baby ever!
