Within a 2 month timeframe Spencer had gotten 6 ear infections so we saw a specialist who recommended putting tubes in his ears. On Monday, February 7th we took Spencer to the hospital for his very first surgery.
We checked in at 6:15 am and checked out at 8:00 am. We were glad that we didn't have to stay longer than that.
Spencer was not afraid of the nurses which made it easier for us when they had to take him. We could not be in the surgery room.

Spencer with Daddy after the surgery. The doctor said that when they went to put the tubes in he had a double ear infection so there was a lot of blood and puss. He also said that Spencer didn't cry at all and handled everything really well.
It's been almost two months since we put the tubes in his ears and our lives have changed dramatically. He sleeps through the night except for when he's teething and he smiles a lot more. We are glad we did the surgery
Poor little guy! :( Bronson just got his first ear infection last week, and then had an allergic reaction to the amoxicillin! Glad Spencer is feeling better!!

ReplyDeleteHi! I posted to your Seattle comment on my blog and surprise, surprise...I have more to say. :) Savannah also got tubes in her ears. She was 15 months old at that time. Our lives changed so much for the better and she has only had one infection in the last year. Many people wanted us to look into holistic chiropractics but we decided on surgery. It is a tough decision but I am glad that things are going well for you also. Miss you all! ~Jeffi
