What to do on a hot spring day
The weather was just starting to get nice. The boys were tired of being inside and wanted to play in the water. We had been thinking about buying a water table for them but that is as far as we had gotten. So creative me filled up plastic totes with water and added food coloring. So simple but yet it kept the boys busy for a good 2 hours.
A visit from Grandad & Grandma
The week after Easter was Casey's spring break which was also Grandma Karen's spring break. We were super excited when they came to visit for a few days. Spencer was especially excited because they got to watch him at gymnastics. We also hiked to Bridal Veil Falls, went miniature golfing, explored the dinosaur museum, and filled our bellies at Menchies (frozen yogurt place). It was a quick trip but we loved every minute of it!
Salt Lake City Temple
We hung out at the Salt Lake City Temple until everyone had to catch their flights back home - sniff, sniff. We had a great time with everyone and can't wait for some of them to come back for the boys birthdays.
Happy Easter
We started our Easter morning bright an early not because of the Easter Bunny, but because of our niece's mission farewell. She lives 1 1/2 hours north of us and the farewell started at 9:00 am. She did amazing on her talk so it was totally worth waking up early. Afterwards we went to her house for brunch. We were home by early afternoon which was perfect for the rest of our festivities. We had an easter egg hunt and a traditional Easter dinner (ham, potatoes, etc). The kids had a blast finding eggs and seeing what treat was inside. And, I had a great time preparing the meal.
Dying Easter Eggs
We were lucky enough to have Casey's family spend Easter weekend with us. It was fun having family help us dye easter eggs. I think Spencer had more fun dying his hands blue instead of the eggs. And we didn't dare let Olliebug get close to the dye. He would have tried to drink it. Instead we let him eat a hard boiled egg. He had plenty of fun devouring that.
