Oliver gets buzzed.......

.......and not with alcohol:)  He's only 8 months and has been nowhere close to that stuff and hopefully that's how it will stay his whole life.

Anyway, Oliver has soft, fine hair just like his mother.  It may not look like there's a lot of it but in all actuality there is.  So Casey had had enough of his long, wispy, soft, fine hair and decided to buzz it off.  Oliver didn't mind sitting in the Bumbo and losing all his hair, but mommy did a little bit.

Letter of the week: L and M

Our friend, Sienna, comes over once a week to do fun letter of the week activities.  The two of them especially liked the lion masks.  After we made them I took Spencer to Casey's school for lunch.  Anyone who was in the hall got a loud roar instead of a hello.

We cut out mittens and then sewed them together.  They looked more like handmits for the stove than mittens.

What goes on at the Robles house.......

Boys will be boys!  Half the stuff they do doesn't make logical sense to me, but then again, I'm a girl.  Anyway, here are some pictures of the random moments.  Enjoy!

Spencer enjoys reading a magazine while he eats.  It doesn't matter if it's breakfast, lunch, or dinner.  His favorite magazines are Disney Jr, The Friend, and Ranger Rick Jr.

Oliver loves the bath just like his brother.  We let Oliver have 10 minutes by himself before his crazy brother can come in.  He's gone for an unexpected swim a few times but he comes out laughing.  It looks like we'll be spending lots of time at the pool this summer - yippee!

A turtle or a binky?  I guess  both taste pretty good.

Oliver loves his food and it always shows.  So far he hasn't disliked anything.  A good little eater, check!
Spencer making his funny face.  He also uses this face to scare us when we are playing hide-n-seek.

Like I said before, Spencer loves to swim.  He is in heaven when we let him take a bath in our jetted tub.  He puts his goggles on (my goggles actually) and then swims into the jets.  It's like his own infinity pool.

There's that silly face again!

What else can you do when you've played hard all day?

My little helper.  Spencer loves helping me bake so we've dedicated 1 day a week to baking something yummy.  I think his favorite part is tasting the ingredients as we go.

Here I am.  It's rare that I'm in a picture because I'm always the one taking the pictures.

Oh Oliver and his curious mind.  Yes, that is him between the washer and dryer.  I didn't realize he could fit but he does.  I've since moved them closer so he doesn't get hurt.  One of his favorite things to do is dance while the washer is going.  It's pretty funny.

Play hard, sleep hard even if it's at the dinner table

Another silly face

Oliver showing his first tooth.  I know it's hard to see but it's the best picture we could get.  Now his has both his bottom, front teeth.

Why not stand on the unstable bike?  This little guy climbs on anything and everything.  He'll be on my counters before I know it.

This is one of my favorite pictures.  The boys were watching the snow fall early one morning.  I love that they get along and like each other.  It's funny to me that Oliver already knows how to push Spencer's buttons though.  That's what little brothers are for:)

Activity Advent Calendar: days 8-14

We're still going strong with the activities.  However, depending on the day Spencer is either really excited about it or has no desire at all to do it.  I guess that's part of being 2 years old.

Days 8:
Make Christmas ornaments and hang them on the tree

Day 9:
Color Christmas pictures

Day 10:
Tell the story of Christ's birth using adorable nativity magnets

Day 11:
Night out with Casey (I had a few meetings so Casey did stuff with the boys)

Day 12:
Write a letter to Santa and mail it to the Northpole

Day 13:
Skype the grandparents and sing Christmas songs

Day 14:
Watch "A Charlie Brown Christmas"

So for some reason we only took photos for Day 12.  I don't know why we didn't take photos of the other activities.  I'll try harder next week so check back if you're curious.

Spencer has been asking for a Chuggington Puzzle from Santa.  For those of you who aren't familiar, Chuggington is a TV show about trains on Disney Jr.  We have only watched it a few times so I was surprised when he asked for a puzzle with the characters.  Anyway, we couldn't find it in stores so we ordered it online.  Well, I thought I ordered it online.  It wasn't until my package came and the puzzle wasn't inside that I realized I forgot to order it.  Since he keeps asking about it we couldn't not order it even though shipping ended up costing more than the puzzle.  I can't wait to see his excitement on Christmas morning!

Oliver didn't ask for anything because he was too busy eating the paper.

Activity Advent Calendar: days 1-7

Here's a quick run down of our activities for the first week.

Day 1:
Buy a Christmas tree and hang lights outside our house

Days 2:
Decorate our Christmas tree

Days 3:
Visit Zoo Lights at Hogle Zoo with Grandma & Grandpa Erickson

Days 4:
Read Christmas stories and drink hot cocco

Day 5:
Decorate gingerbread cookies with Melissa's family

Day 6:
Watch a Christmas Movie

Day 7:
Visit the Festival of Lights in Spanish Fork with the Curtis'

This is the only picture we have for Day 2.  The boys weren't that interested in decorating the Christmas tree.  However, now only the top half of our tree is decorated because both of them can't resist taking the ornaments off.

Hogle Zoo was a lot of fun despite the freezing cold weather and lack of animal appearances.  If we get a good deal we'll go again.

Drinking hot cocco with peppermint marshmallows.  It's really yummy!

Decorating gingerbread cookies on day 5.  Spencer was on a sugar high that night because he only ate the frosting and toppings.
Cooper frosting his cookie with his fingers.  He didn't see the knives on the table.

Reagan decorated a whole Christmas tree forest.

 Oliver eating his first cookie.

 Sofie and her beautiful creation

Oliver after looking at Aunt Melissa.  This is no joke!  He's really not sure of her most of the time.

A close up of the Christmas tree forest

The Festival of Lights in Spanish Fork.  We don't have any pictures of us because we were in our car the whole time.  They had a ton of lights and music to go along.  We really enjoyed it!

I'll post more pictures of the second week soon
